We'll Take Manhattan!

Karen Gillan is set to play Jean Shrimpton in a new single drama called We'll Take Manhattan.

It explores the love affair between the sixties 'It' girl Jean Shrimpton and fashion photographer David Bailey.  Set predominantly in 1962, the couple first met on a Vogue photo shoot in New York.  It shows them  falling madly in love and accidentally changing the world forever.

Alexa Chung counts Jean as one of her style icons!

Karen said: "Jean Shrimpton is an icon of the Sixties and I am so excited to be playing somebody who had such a lasting impact on the fashion world. I can't wait to take on the challenge of bringing Jean and Bailey's fascinating love story to life. Sixties here I come!

Alexa Chung - Taking British style to the States.

Alexa Chung takes some British style to the other side of the pond when she appeared on the Jimmy Fallon show.
She looks totally gorgeous in a Marc Jacobs coat worn as a dress from his S/S 12 collection.  Its sparkly, metallic, lacy AND she wears silver shoes to match.
Too cute!

Alexa chats to Jimmy about her new show called 24 Hour Catwalk.
She jokes that the show is incredibly mean because it involves four designers competing to complete a collection in 24 hours.
